The store sells silver and diamond jewellery, as well as a  range of Indian clothing, including chudidars - tight-fitting pants designed to be longer than the legs so that the excess length appears in folds at the ankle - and ghagharas, which are colorful skirts that are narrow at the waist and become wider towards the bottom.

Indian Maanya stores do not sell jewellery and Pothini explained: "The jewelry we have is Indian authentic diamonds; of course, these are very, very good in quality. We are getting them separately from a wholesaler based in Mumbai."

Clothing at the store is proced from $30 to $1,000, with jewellery from $2.50 to $6,000. "Obtaining items from wholesalers allows the store to keep its prices competitive", said Pothini. "It's good quality at good prices. What else do you want?"
